Apple Pie

untitled-shoot-029

Per usual, the best part about any dinner party is the desert, and this tart apple pie was no different. Not only was it absolutely stunning to look at (check out that lattice!) but was just the right about of sweet and sour. We kept it basic with just the pie, but you could add a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or a dollop of whip cream on top if you’re feeling fancy 😉

We bought pre-made pie crusts to save time (we chose Pillsburry), and you need 2: one for top and bottom of pie. Once you have all the apples peeled and thinly sliced you simply combine all the ingredients together and toss them in the pie pan. Once you’ve covered the filling with the top layer of crust (there are so many different designs you can do to add a little flair to your pie), bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until apples are tender and the crust is golden brown.

Pie is for sure one of the most underrated desserts. They’re so easy to make, look stunning and simply delicious.

Enjoy!
