Once again, Mother’s day has totally snuck up on me.
My mom is a low-key kinda gal and we usually just spend the day by going to church and brunch afterwards. But even if she doesn’t need a swanky party complete with a mini tiara and pony, it’s still nice to appreciate the lady who has helped shape me into the woman I am today. So in honor of May 8th I’ve complied a list of 10 gifts for your mom to make her feel extra warm and fuzzy.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Let’s face it, most women love jewelry, and these simple gold hoops are no different. They’re classic with a little pop of color that are sure to brighten up any outfit your mom puts together.
I have this necklace myself and it’s my very favorite. I literally wear it almost everyday. It’s understated and simple, while still classic. I also love how sweet the little card and box that come with the necklace are.
I’m a strong believer that everything in your kitchen should have some color. It makes for a more festive time baking or cooking, and these hand painted spoons certainly do the trick.

This flower pot made me instantly think of my aunt and God Mother. It’s quirky design and fresh colors are perfect to spice up any room for the more eclectic mom.
These garden gloves are a great gift for any women with a green thumb. I love the touch of leather and pop of bright florals.
If your mom is anything like mine, home girl loooveesss her lattes. And what better way to remind her how much you love her than with this cute coffee cup?
I’m really loving the typography and floral prints that are all over Pinterest and Esty, and this one is no different. Perfect to hang next to the front door or on a gallery-style wall in the living room, this little print is perfect for your mom.
Is there anything better than a home-made meal? I love going through my mother’s old recipe box and seeing a mix of her and my grandmother’s careful instructions on how to make the best dishes and treats. My philosophy is the older, more dripped on and used recipe, the better it is, but whose to say the box that holds these old delights has to be old and dingy too?!
I will recommend any of Shauna Niequist’s books to anyone that will listen. Shauna is easily one of my favorite authors, with a fresh and honest take about life, being present where you are and learning to celebrate even the simplest things. Her book Bread and Wine is a collection of stories and recipes that make you want to throw your own dinner party for the people you love.
