Coachella Beach Babe 5-step Make Up

With Coachella photos clogging my instagram feed, warm weather #fomo is real and I can’t wait for tan skin and days on the beach, which are seemly far away right now.  I heard it just snowed three feet in Colorado and it’s almost May… I’m feeling bad for all you CO ladies and wanted to offer some sunshine and advice to help you feel a little warmer and look like you spent the weekend dancing with Kylie Jenner in the desert.  Without further ado, here are my tips for achieving a natural glowy look that is Kardashian inspired, sexy as hell and a nod to that summer skin we’re all craving right about now.

1.Moisturize: Moisturizer is your best friend when you’re trying to achieve a dewy fresh-faced look.  I recommend pairing your usual moisturizer with an oil for a little extra oomph.  Try this moisturizer paired with a few drops of this.

2.Create an even base: You don’t want to use too much foundation in this look.  I’d go for a tinted moisturizer if anything at all and just use some concealer anywhere you need it.  I’m loving Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer and Nar’s Radiant Creamy Concealer.

3.Bronze: Take a big fluffy brush and apply your favorite bronzer to the hollows of your cheeks and your temples.  If you haven’t tried Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer or Nars’ Laguna, now’s your chance.

4.HIGHLIGHT:  Here’s the most important part of achieving this look and how you create that Coachella glow without the sun and the drugs.  You could go the way of a cream highlight or a powder, choose whatever works best for you.  Apply with your finger, or a highlighting brush wherever the light hits you: top of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, center of the chin, the inner corners of the eyes, right above and below each eyebrow and on the cupids bow.  Go easy at first as not to look like a disco ball, unless you want that look, then go crazy.

5.Finishing touches:  swipe on so natural looking mascara and a sheer pink lipgloss and boom – you’re as good as beach babed.
